ASP.NET MVC3 HttpStatusCodeResult StatusDescription - указанный аргумент вышел за пределы допустимых значений

по какой-то причине я получаю ошибку, пытаясь вернуть

new HttpStatusCodeResult(500, statusDescription);

в моем приложении MVC3. Он взрывается с ошибкой

Если я изменю свой результат на return new HttpStatusCodeResult(500, "statusDescription");

это будет работать нормально, есть ли какое-то ограничение длины на описание статуса?
