как вы можете видеть, есть некоторые поля, которые являются обязательными как id и closingTime. Если необязательные поля None на apply метод выше производит следующий JSON:

даже если это может быть правильным, это не то, что я ищу. Например, если необязательными полями являются None, мне нужно получить следующий JSON:

сказав это, как я могу запретить apply генерирование null полей? Должен ли я заменить Json.obj(...) вещи с чем-то подобным?

С Writes произведен Json.writes не буду nulls:

case class Account(id: Option[String],

вы могли бы реализовать Writes[(Option[String], String, String, Int, Option[Int])] самостоятельно, если вы не хотите использовать пользовательский класс Account такой:
